The VM528 uses a coated one-piece fabric 2" (52 mm) soft dome and surround. These are paired with a lightweight Kapton former and single-layer copper voice coil, delivering fast transient response with minimal coloration and exceptionally low distortion.
A precision FEA-designed magnet system provides high flux density and excellent thermal performance, helping the VM528 maintain power handling and efficiency under demanding conditions. The flat front-mounting plate is designed to control dispersion, giving the VM528 a wide, even radiation pattern that integrates naturally with surrounding drivers.
For ease of installation and service, the dome and coil are built onto a replaceable composite diaphragm ring that self-locates accurately, allowing straightforward field replacement. Standard 4.8 mm spade terminals accept either soldered connections or push-on receptacles.
