Careers
at Volt

The Volt Management team are supported by a dedicated and brilliant team of skilled individuals who constantly seek to improve the quality of all Volt products.

Interested in working in our Production Team?

We are a small family business based on a former BBC transmitter site. None of our production team had ever built loudspeakers prior to working at Volt. Some have come from manufacturing backgrounds so are familiar with work schedules and able to work with both speed and accuracy. Some have a background in engineering so are at home using machinery and working to tight tolerances and some are fresh from university with a relevant degree - there is no precise skill set that you need.

Qualities needed

You will, however, be happy to work within a small team as everyone contributes something to the construction of our high-quality loudspeakers. You will need strong fine motor skills and an eye for detail as Volt products are hand-crafted. Our customers build some of the finest studio and hi-fi systems in the world so demand the best, therefore you will need to make sure your work is consistently accurate and excellent.

Benefits

We offer all employees full training in a supportive environment and permanent contracts after successfully completing a trial period. In addition to the statutory bank holidays, you will have 15 days of holiday plus 9 Volt holidays that include a Christmas Shutdown. We also finish earlier on a Friday.
