Hobby HiFi Reviews 2018
More excellent reviews of our midrange domes, this time via the German Hobby Hifi magazine.
Out for review was the VM527 (2″ dome) and a special version of the VM753 (16ohm 3″ dome) for AOS Lautsprecher.
Read all about it here…..if you’ve kept up with your German that is!

HH review – VM753AOS page 1, page 2
For all those not speaking German, then the summary roughly translated is:
VM527 – is an excellent midrange dome, which is relatively expensive,
But the money is always worth it.
Perfectly balanced and linear, no membrane resonance.
Extremely fast and completely even decay.
Smooth impedance curve without resonance artifacts.
Lightning transient behaviour.
Harmonic Distortion K2, K3 and K5 over signal level at 700 Hz From the small signal range to the highest volume outstanding.
VM753AOS – The VM753AOS lends itself to the field of 600 to 4,000 hertz. The linearity is perfect here too, the distortion are from the smallest to the maximum Level also excellent.
Ideally balanced and linear, sharp tear-off edge at 5 kHz.
An outstanding good 75 mm dome midrange
He is worth every one of his many euros.
Harmonic factor K2, K3 and K5 above signal level at 600 Hz From the small signal range to the largest volume outstanding.
Many thanks to Hobby Hifi and Axel Oberhage.
